The South African entertainment scene is buzzing with whispers of a possible reconciliation between rapper and MK Party member Zuluboy, real name Mxolisi Brian Majozi, and his ex-wife, renowned sign language interpreter Andiswa Gebashe. The news comes as a surprise to many, considering their highly publicised divorce in 2018.
The couple, both hailing from KwaZulu-Natal, had a whirlwind romance, dating for a year before Zuluboy popped the question. Their love story, however, took a dramatic turn in 2019 when Zuluboy confirmed their separation, revealing that he had moved back to Durban to live with his grandmother and mend his broken heart.
Now, whispers of a rekindled romance are circulating, with a close friend of the couple revealing to ZiMoja that their relationship has improved significantly.
"Their relationship was not good, but it's improved. They have been co-parenting, however, they are now back together. We are so happy for them, I guess," the friend shared.
While Zuluboy has not explicitly confirmed the rumours, he has hinted at a positive co-parenting relationship with Andiswa.
"We co-parent well together and I respect her," he told ZiMoja. Andiswa, however, could not be reached for comment.
He has been appointed as a member of the party's creative council in KwaZulu-Natal, following the MK's victory in the recent elections.
However, Zuluboy has denied claims that he bribed his way into the position, stating that he is waiting for the party to officially deploy him.
"I can't be deployed by the media. These reports prove that the media have given me the position and I can't accept it. It's only MK that can deploy me, not the media. So, I'm waiting for the party to deploy me," he told DailySun.
