From Uthando Nesthembu to family feud: Sne Mseleku's podcast reveals all… says foul play killed her mother

Sne Mseleku, the eldest daughter of polygamist Musa Mseleku, has found herself at the centre of a family feud after revealing intimate details about her life and her relationship with her father on a podcast.

Sne's appearance on "The Podcast About Nothing" in July sparked controversy within the Mseleku family. She discussed her life, the progress made in her relationship with her father, Musa, and her relationships with her stepmothers, children, and siblings. She also opened up about how her new partner has helped her realise her dreams.

Sne shared the emotional impact of losing her mother at the age of 12, and how this loss influenced the course of her life. Adding to the weight of her grief, Sne suspects foul play in her mother's death, a suspicion that has only deepened her sense of loss and vulnerability. She candidly admitted that she was responsible for the strained relationship between her and her father.

She credits MaCele, Musa's first wife, for being the only one who has consistently offered her love and support, a sentiment echoed in her words: "She has been protecting me since I was young. And before my mother passed away, my biological mother said MaCele is my mother that she is leaving me with. She has raised my first born for me and she treats her like her own.”

"I never used to respect my father. But now people will witness our relationship on the new season of our reality show," she said. "We are fine now; we bond and do everything together. And now I realise that, all in all, he is right."

However, it was Sne's revelation about her strained relationship with her stepmother, MaNgcwabe, that ignited a firestorm within the family. She claimed that their feud stemmed from an argument over a bread roll. She also revealed that she hardly interacts with MaKhumalo at home and that they do not have a relationship.

Following her podcast appearance, Sne revealed that her brother, Mpumelelo Mseleku, had also appeared on another podcast. However, she expressed concern that her family seemed to be criticising her only.

"I was heartbroken, but I decided to just let it slide. I do not know why they were angry at me, and they have never sat down with me to talk about why they were mad at what I said on the podcast," she said.

"MaNgwabe is not speaking to me till now, and at this point, I do not think I am ready to sit down and talk to her about the issue."

Sne's honest and sometimes critical revelations about her family life on the podcast have seemingly caused a rift between her and her siblings and stepmothers. The family's silence and MaNgwabe's refusal to speak to Sne have left many wondering about the future of their relationships.

The Mseleku family has been a fixture on South African television for years, with their reality show "Uthando Nesthembu" offering viewers a glimpse into the complexities of polygamy. However, the recent family feud has cast a shadow over the show's future and has raised questions about the family's ability to navigate their differences.
