SABC1's popular soapie, Skeem Saam, is set to welcome two talented actors, Lesley Musina and Warren Masemola, to its vibrant cast. The announcement, made on Wednesday, 23 October, has fans buzzing with anticipation as the show continues to captivate audiences with its engaging storylines.
Warren Masemola, known for his role in House of Zwide, will take on the character of Gopane, a father searching for his missing son. Gopane is the father of Smaki, a Turfloop High School pupil portrayed by Ndivhuwo Ramashia.
After a stint as a taxi driver in Johannesburg, Gopane returns to Turfloop to uncover the truth behind his son’s disappearance. This heartfelt storyline is sure to resonate with viewers as it highlights the lengths a parent will go to for their child.
Expressing his enthusiasm for joining the Skeem Saam family, Warren said, “It’s absolutely beautiful. I actually feel like I’m in Limpopo. Being a city boy who grew up in Tshwane, the set of Skeem Saam makes me feel like I’m back with my people.” Fans can look forward to Warren’s debut on Monday, 4 November.
On the other hand, Lesley Musina, a former star of Muvhango, will step into the role of Fefo, a character from Melita’s (Hellen Motsuki) past. Fefo’s arrival is set to disrupt the lives of Mr Kgomo (Lebo Oliphant) and Melita, adding a new layer of drama to the show.
