Harare – A new explicit video featuring Robert Mugabe Junior, son of the late former President Robert Mugabe, has ignited a firestorm on Zimbabwean social media.
The leaked footage, showing Mugabe Jr. in an intimate encounter with two women, follows previous controversies surrounding the young Mugabe.
However, this time, the leak has been accompanied by a series of allegations and a public explanation from a former friend, detailing a pattern of alleged violence and intimidation.
The former friend, whose identity remains undisclosed, took to social media to justify his actions, stating: “I went to jail because of you!!! And now you’re attacking my family???”.
This statement, laden with anger and resentment, hints at a deeper, more troubled relationship between the two men. The leaked video is not the only piece of incriminating footage released; the former friend also shared videos allegedly showing Mugabe Jr. assaulting a mutual friend, Nyasha Rusinga.
One clip depicts a brutal attack, while another shows Mugabe Jr. allegedly tampering with Rusinga’s IV drip during a hospital visit.
Adding further detail to the alleged assault, the former friend provided a chilling account of an incident where Mugabe Jr. allegedly attacked him with an empty beer bottle: “Ndaitryer kumubata achindirova nebhodhoro mumashoulders nemakumbo. Bhodhoro riya ndichiblocker kudai so I think akandirova pa hard bone pekuti ganda rangu rakatsemuka. Ndichiblocker so. Pakati peruoko. Ndakatozonosonwa ndokubva ndaiswa ma stitches ku United Bulawayo Hospitals.” (Translation: “I tried to grab him, and he hit me with a bottle on my shoulders and legs. The bottle was like a blunt object, so I think he hit me on a hard bone because my skin broke open. It was a blunt object, right in the middle of my arm. I was stitched up at United Bulawayo Hospitals.”)
The former friend explicitly linked the release of the explicit video and the assault footage to Mugabe Jr.’s alleged targeting of his family. He expressed outrage at this alleged behaviour, stating: “You even abuse your own friends and now you’re coming for my wife and kids??? Come on! How ruthless.” This statement suggests a deliberate act of retaliation, driven by a sense of betrayal and fear for his family's safety.
The leaked video itself depicts a scene at a private residence. An unidentified individual unexpectedly entered a bedroom where Mugabe Jr. was with a female colleague and another couple.
The clip also shows Robert Mugabe junior allegedly bonking one of the young women as the couple was enjoying a sex style popularly known as 'cowgirl' where a woman is bonking a man while seated or lying on top of the man's genitals.
The footage then shows Mugabe Jr., partially undressed, scrambling to put on his blue suit and glasses while two light-skinned young stark naked women were scurrying to cover their heads and faces with blankets after the juicy act.
This is not the first time Mugabe Jr. has found himself embroiled in controversy. Two years ago, a video surfaced online showing him involved in a dispute with a model he allegedly refused to pay after a night together.
The model, identified only as Bertha, was seen arguing with Mugabe Jr., demanding US$50 that they had reportedly agreed upon. The video showed Bertha unclad, seated on a bed, refusing to leave until she received payment. Mugabe Jr. was seen instructing her to dress and leave the premises. Other reports claimed that the couple had reportedly stent 4 days together before a brawl ensued over non-payment.
