Actress Angel Zuma has missed out on a world class opportunity.
She turned down an offer to play a role on The Lion King.
She was cast for the Swing and Shenzi roles.
"I did the first audition but I did not get the role. Earlier this year I tried again and i was successful. I was excited because this was a dream come true.
"I was about to finalize their offer when I decided to turn it down. I considered a tlot of things including my carres, burt mainly I rejected their offer because of personal and confidential reasons, she said.
All I can say is I am happy I was given a chance to be part of a huge production.The casting team also told me to inform them once I was ready to join them. So once I am sorted and available I'll let them know," she said
She however said she is not in a position to discuss these reasons.
Angel said for now, her focus is on Umkhoka: The Curse where she plays Nomkhosi Mthebu.
Lebo M, the director of Lion King was not available for comment.
