Buthelezi was fired from Ukhozi FM earlier this year after a string of scamming allegations tarnished the station's reputation.
Families from the Nquthu area in KwaZulu-Natal have accused him of luring them into investing in his Abombuso Poultry Investment Group, only to swindle their money. Despite promising to pay them back, Buthelezi allegedly posed several threats when confronted by his victims.
It seems the families had enough and turned to community group Isikebhe for help in recovering their stolen funds. Buthelezi's family allegedly hid him, but Isikebhe managed to track him down and apprehend him.
This is not the first time Buthelezi has been accused of scamming people in KwaZulu-Natal. His business dealings have brought him under fire, with several families claiming to have fallen victim to his dodgy investment schemes.
It remains to be seen what will happen to the former radio host, but for now, he has become the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. Stay tuned for more updates on this scandalous story.
