Media personality Minnie Dlamini, stirred up conversation when she expressed surprise upon learning that her ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune, still played soccer.
In a viral video clip from her show Curated by Tanqueray, Minnie's reaction to the revelation created a buzz among viewers. However, Khune's fans did not take kindly to her response and criticized her, labeling her as a bitter ex and comparing the duration of Khune's career to Minnie's marriage to Quinton Jones.

Minnie however cleared the air, asserting that it was all in good fun and that there is no animosity between her and the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper. She emphasized that the remarks made on her lifestyle show were meant to be light-hearted and that her writers often poke fun at various topics, including herself. She assured that there was no malicious intent behind the comments and that it was all part of the show's entertainment value.
"People must not take things seriously, it was all a joke- there is no bad blood between him and me," she said. She explained that her writers on the lifestyle show make fun of anything and anyone. "No man it was just a joke. I have a comedian who writes my opening monologue for the show," she said. She said even she is not safe sometimes."They make fun of me mostly and what's going on in society. It's all in the name of fun and entertainment. No malice at all," she added.
Minnie and Khune dated back in 2011 but ended their engagement around 2014. In previous interviews, Minnie has discussed her relationship with Khune, revealing that she was apprehensive about ending the relationship due to concerns about public perception. She also denied rumors that Khune had paid lobola (bride price) for her, stating that it was a misconception she strongly disliked. Khune went on to marry his wife, Sphelele Makhunga, in a traditional wedding in June 2022, and they have two children together.
