Zahara's Sisters Accused of Exploiting Her Illness for Personal Gain
As Zahara fights for her life in the hospital, distressing allegations have emerged involving her sisters, who are believed to have taken advantage of her vulnerable state. It is alleged that Zahara's sisters, Lumka and Bandezwa Mkutukana, got hold of her bank cards and shamelessly indulged in a shopping spree, despite being well aware of the desperate financial situation faced by Zahara and her fiancé, Mpho Xaba, to cover her mounting medical bills. Following this incident, Xaba, who is traditionally married to the renowned singer, reportedly sent the sisters back to the Eastern Cape.
According to a source, Lumka and Bandezwa occupied Zahara and Xaba's house in Johannesburg and gained access to Zahara's bank card, using it without hesitation. "While their sister lay in a hospital bed fighting for her life, the two sisters went on a shopping spree. They visited Small Street in downtown Johannesburg, purchasing various counterfeit brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Diesel, and others. It seems that for them, shopping at these dubious stores gave them a false sense of shopping in luxurious destinations like Dubai, Paris, or New York. They even bought some cheap makeup. Their bags were filled with counterfeit items," revealed a close source to the siblings.
When approached for comment, Zahara's sisters, Lumka and Bandezwa, refused to address the allegations. Lumka simply responded, "Ask your source, bhuti," before abruptly ending the conversation. Zahara's manager, Oyama Dyosiba, expressed shock upon hearing about the incident. "I am shocked that you know about this, unfortunately, I cannot comment on the matter.'
Zahara, who was admitted to the hospital shortly after celebrating her 36th birthday on November 9th, unfortunately, fell into a coma last Friday. The celebrated singer was rushed to the ICU ward over two weeks ago when doctors discovered liver complications after conducting several tests. Throughout this challenging time, prayers have been held by Zahara's family for her recovery. Recently, Afro-pop artist Vusi Nova, who collaborated with Zahara on the track "Usezondibona" in 2018, paid her a visit in the hospital, showing support during her ordeal.
