The highly anticipated second season of "Kwa Mam’Mkhize" is set to premiere this week, marking the return of the popular reality show. The series revolves around the lives of businessperson and socialite Shauwn Mkhize, her children Sbahle and Andile Mpisane, and now, her daughter-in-law Tamia Mpisane and her two daughters.
This season promises to showcase the growth, maturity, and triumph over adversity experienced by the cast. Sbahle, who survived a near-fatal car accident in 2018, expressed how everyone has evolved since the first season. She shared, "The biggest difference is that everyone has grown so much from season one, from our mom going through her divorce and reclaiming her name, to my brother getting married and having children. As for me, I was in a wheelchair, and now I am standing tall."
Sbahle emphasized that her accident did not dampen her love for fitness. "Even after my accident, when I was depressed, I maintained my love for myself and my fitness. Even in a wheelchair, I took care of myself because I didn't want to embody my problems."
The reality TV star also revealed that viewers would witness her healing journey and how she recovered from being wheelchair-bound. She stated, "People will see us as we are right now in our lives. So much has changed, but the love we have for one another remains the same. Watch to see how I reclaimed my life, from being in a wheelchair with no hope to confidently catwalking. It's an inspiring story for many."
Shauwn Mkhize described the first season as a self-discovery journey, allowing viewers to witness her transformation from being known as Mpisane to embracing her identity as Mkhize after her divorce. In season two, she aims to show a different side of herself, highlighting the growth of her children and the joy of being a grandmother. She acknowledged that their lives may appear perfect, but they also face challenges and overcome them. Mkhize hopes that viewers who find inspiration in their story will relate to their human side and connect with their ongoing journey.
In season two, you will witness a different side of me. My children have grown. I have grandkids, and I am cherishing every moment. Sometimes, people believe that our lives are perfect, but that's not the reality. We also face difficult times, but we come out of those situations. People who find inspiration in us will see our human side and relate to the journey we are on.
Tamia, the newest addition to the show, expressed her excitement and nerves. She shared that viewers would get to know her as a mother, wife, and daughter-in-law as her two daughters make their appearance on the show.
